My Self Care Saturday Sesh

Self Care Saturday Sesh

I don’t get many chances to have a Self Care Sunday like I suggest everyone tries to have, but this week I did manage to have a Self Care Saturday!

Since having COVID my skin has been awful. Dry, blotchy and so itchy.

Mind you, I’m not sure it’s all down to COVID, it might be down to the menopause as well. So many options for having crap skin!

So, I thought enough is enough. I need to make a bit of an effort and actually use the products I make – and take the advice I give everyone else – on myself! Time for a top to toe sesh!

Hair:

The pamper sesh started with my hair. My strung out, not been cut for over 2 years hair.

I used deep conditioning hair and scalp treatment and left it on for about half an hour. My hair drank it in!

Then I had a shower and shampoo’d the hair treatment out twice with lavender and tea tree solid shampoo followed by cocoa and shea solid conditioner on the ends.

Face:

On my face I used gently scrubby face cleanser as I hadn’t used it for a while. I always forget just how amazing it really is!

I then used a couple of my summer special products for testing purposes. They will be available soon.

Body:

The skin on my upper arms is really bobbly and rough so I used my gorgeous intensive body scrub on them and they felt a lot better afterwards.

Lastly I used a showertime moisture bar to smooth all the rest of my rough edges.

When I got out of the shower and dried off I used frankincense facial mist and then deep moisture face oil on my face, neck and decolletage which felt incredible. My face felt more plumped up and hydrated.

My body has such dry skin that there was really only one product to use and that was cocoa butter and oat milk body cream and my goodness didn’t that sink in well!

Feet:

For my feet I used my brand new minty foot balm and that made my feet feel very happy but very slidey so I put some socks on and now my feet feel incredibly smooth!

I definitely felt better for having some me time and I’m going to attempt to make a habit of it!

What products do you use when you have a pamper session? Feel free to hit reply and let me know!

Lots of love
Sue xxx

Getting my curls back

Look how curly my hair used to be! This photo was taken well before the onset of peri-menopause and hot flushes. I rarely tied my hair back unless I was cooking or gardening. I left it loose and it never seemed to get in the way. Even when I was working fulltime in...
