Purely Local Soap
£5.50
Purely local soap is just that.Ā Very pure and made from local ingredients.
This cuts down on ‘soap miles’ and ensures that money stays in the local economy and that’s definitely a winner all round.
I’m also really happy if non local people buy it too!

Purely Local Soap is made from locally produced ingredients from just over the Essex border - apart from the coconut oil and sweet orange essential oil. We're not famed for our coconut palms or orange trees round these parts!
It cleanses, gives a gentle scrub and leaves skin feeling soft and not tight like some other soap brands do.Ā Every time you use this soap you'll know you are supporting local businesses.
What local produce is in Purely Local Soap?
Cold-pressed rapeseed oil from Duchess Farms in Hertfordshire.
Organic, gluten-free oats from Glebe Farms in Cambridge.
Oats are literally amazing for the skin.Ā They are natures powerhouse when it comes to soothing and nourishing sore, red, inflamed skin.
Have you heard of colloidal oatmeal?Ā
I always thought colloidal oatmeal was some super duper wonder ingredient to calm redness and help with eczema.
Colloidal oatmeal just means oats that are chopped up so that they release their milky goodness quicker than if the oats were whole! Then the oats have to be suspended in something - in this case they're suspended in a really gentle soap base.
This means that ALL the products that I make using oats (and there are a lot) contain colloidal oatmilk because I blitz the oats in them.Ā Who knew?
Hereās an article that I found which explains a bit more about ācolloidal oatmilkāĀ
Each soap weighs around 120g and comes-wrapped in handmade Himalyan Lokta paper and is printed with an old-fashioned map of Essex.
