Well it’s been a long time coming but Minty Foot Powder is finally here!
What does Minty Foot Powder Contain?
Minty Foot Powder has a base of absorbent clays plus bicarbonate of soda to deodorise.
It has my classic blend of peppermint, spearmint and eucalyptus essential oils. These cool, soothe, deodorise and generally make your feet and shoes smell a lot better than they did before!
What is it packed in?
Although the powder has been ready for a while it took ages to find and decide on packaging for as I wanted something sustainable, re-usable and infinitely recyclable ie. not plastic now that I’m single use plastic free.
I decided on spice jar shakers for several reasons:
- I couldn’t source cardboard ‘talc’ style shakers. I approached a company who said they would try and find something for me and then never came back to me.
- I tried seed box shakers but they were too big.
- I needed something that would shake the powder out.
The shakey spice jars have a plastic insert which is the shaker but, with not having any single use plastic always at the forefront of my mind, I’m doing refill packs of the powder so you can refill your shakey spice jar many, many times.
Of course, if you have your own shaker that you’d prefer to re-use you could just buy a refill pack.
How to use Minty Foot Powder:
The trick with it is to not shake too much powder out at once. Don’t turn it upside down or you’ll end up using too much. Just gently tilt the jar and shake a fine dusting onto your feet or into your shoes. (Obviously if your shoes are honking feel free to put the whole lot in)! haha.
The jars contain 50g of powder and the refill pack contains 150g which is great value as a little goes a long way.
