Why Did I Create grapefruit soap?

Here at Maldon Soap I’ve been involved with ditching the plastic for many years. I wrote a blog about it at the beginning of 2019 which you can red here.  I feel like I’ve made lots of progress in helping people to make the switch from shower gel to solid soap and from bottle shampoo to solid shampoo but I still know loads of people who can’t part with their pumpy kitchen soap.

So I wanted to create something that might influence this decision and now I’ve created this zingy organic grapefruit soap which would be amazing to use in the kitchen.  It will clean your skin and make your hands – and your kitchen – smell fabulous.

Having said this it would also make excellent soaps for a morning wake up shower.  Why not use it with one of our lovely soap bags.  You can see all the soap bags here.

Grapefruit soap contains no artificial colours.  Its gentle colour comes from the organic pink grapefruit essential oil that I’ve added for fragrance.

Glycerine soaps are clear and they clean your skin effectively.  Another good thing is that they don’t make a mess of your soap dish so, if you were a bit skeptical of switching to bar soap because of the mess, fear not!

Always use a soap dish with adequate drainage otherwise the soap will sit in water and will go soft and may not last as long as it could do.  These wooden soap ladders are perfect!

More information:

Each bar weighs approximately 100g and comes wrapped in natural compostable cellophane.  This cellophane is made from wood pulp, which is a by product of the UK furniture industry, and is therefore zero waste and totally plastic free!
Just pop your wrapper in the compost or in your garden waste and it will fully compost and biodegrade.

Glycerine, aqua, sorbitol, sodium cocoate, sodium stearate, sodium oleate, sodium chloride, citric acid, sodium citrate, pentasodium pentetate, tetrasodium etidronate, pink grapefruit essential oil (citrus paradise)

This is to ensure your products arrive as fresh as possible. I aim to post all orders out within 5 working days of receipt of order but occasionally there may be a longer wait if I have a lot of orders of if the order is very large. So if your order is for a specific date or occasion please ensure you order in enough time to allow for it to be delivered.
