Dog Shampoo

Dog shampoo is something that dog owners have to think very carefully about. If their precious pooch reacts badly to a shampoo they can’t tell you in words, they just show you by scratching their skin raw. Which isn’t good at all.
With a new puppy in the house it’s become all the more necessary to use gentle products on her delicate skin.
This natural, organic, dog shampoo. which is free from the harsh chemicals that many animal products contain, will leave your dogs coat and skin clean, soft, nourished and smelling great. And it’s really easy to use.

Dog Shampoos from the pet shop are usually really hard to apply. They are mainly in liquid form which can be hard to spread through a dogs coat. So you end up with loads in one place and none in others. The artificial foaming agents that they contain take ages to rinse out and any residue can make a dogs coat itchy and flaky.
If your dog loves muddy puddles, or has a thing for rolling around in disgusting substances, our solid dog shampoo bar is a must-have. Itâs an easy way to clean the skin and coat without stripping away any natural moisture.
How is this Dog Shampoo different?
Itâs easy to apply, rinses out first go â and itâs packed full of oils and butters to nurture your dogâs skin and leave their coat soft and shiny.
I created this shampoo for Benson, a sensitive skinned black labrador with a mud obsession. He had to have very frequent baths so I formulated this dog shampoo especially for him. It has been tested on Benson and Iâm pleased to say that both he and his mum heartily approve.
The shampoo bar lathers up just the right amount for a thorough cleansing, then it rinses out with no fuss. Your dogâs skin is nourished, and their coat smells beautifully fresh and clean.
How to use your dog shampoo bar   Â
This solid dog shampoo bar can be used in warm or cold water. Simply wet your dogâs coat and rub it with the whole bar a few times. As it's a solid bar it can access all areas of your dog so you get an even coating of the shampoo. *Be careful to avoid the eyes, ears and nose.
As you rub the shampoo produces enough lather to clean thoroughly - although if your dog is really dirty you might need to rinse and repeat.
What does this Dog Shampoo contain?
Organic avocado oil to deeply nourish the coat and skin.
Jojoba oil and evening primrose oil hydrate and calm the skin.
Coconut, olive and apricot kernel oils are blended with castor oil to create the right amount of lather for your dog.
Neem oil helps ward off fleas and ticks, and is excellent for your dogâs skin and coat.
Aloe vera provides even more skin soothing properties.
Green clay detoxifies and cleanses.
The shampoo also contains a selection of dog-friendly, antibacterial and skin-calming essential oils (lavender, tea tree, peppermint and lemon) to make your dog smell lovely.
I have actually used this lovely shampoo on my own hair as it contains some incredible ingredients!

This is a beautiful shampoo for dogs. I use it on my dog’s paws and lower legs after she’s been exploring on walks, and especially now as the weather is getting cooler and the ground and grass are muddy / damp. It lathers up well but also rinses off easily with no residue. Leaves her fur very soft and smelling delightful! I love it. đ

So glad it’s helping your dog!

A great and easy soap to use on my dog (whoâs a very reluctant bather). Best of all several weeks on heâs not turned into his normal smelly self again which he normally does after only a few days.

Used this dog shampoo bar on Evie a few weeks ago, the heatwave seemed a good time to get the old tin bath out in the garden. She hates being bathed and usually I have to have an extra pair of hands, but holding her with one hand and massaging her with soap with the other was ideal. Lovely lather and a nice smelling hound.
Just back from a dog walk and Evie found the only muddy puddle in Essex, resulting in black, smelly legs. It didnât come off with the hose, but a rub with the soap bar has done the jobâŚthank you!

My brother buys this for his Bassett hound as she suffers with itchy skin. It lathers well and has reduced her itchiness and brought the shine back to her coat.

This has proved brilliant for getting the Mersea mud off Thomas with the hose (a regular occurrence , so the soap and hose also comes into play regularly too). His coat is actually even glossier than it was, since we started using it. I cut the bar into a couple of lumps with a sharp knife , in order to use one bit up first, so as not to waste it. And I am not ashamed to say that it smells so delicious that I borrowed it (the fresh bit!) and showered with it myself!

I love this soap. So much easier than using liquid soaps. I would like to say that my dogs like it too, but sadly they hate baths! At least they smell nice after the bath though.

My dog Daisy loves a bath and I used to really dislike using the nasty stuff from pet shops. Maldon soap has produced just what we needed . So glad I bought some and it last for ages.
