Carrot & Almond Face Soap

Carrot and Almond Facial Soap is one of the first soaps I ever made when I started the company many years ago! It’s even better now because now it’s 100% organic!

How Carrot & Almond Facial Soap is made:

I use loads of local, organic carrots in this soap. The carrots are grown on an organic farm, Sarah Green’s Organics which is about 5 miles away from where I live.

I juice the fresh carrots and use the carrot juice as the liquid part of this gentle facial soap.  Once it’s made I stir some of the carrot pulp back in.  This gives the soap some gentle exfoliation.

What’s in this soap?

Carrots:  are packed with nutrients.  Firstly they contain vitamin C which is great for helping difficult skin.  Secondly they contain beta carotene which helps to reduce skin inflammation and speed healing, which makes this soap is really good for spotty skin.

In the body beta carotene converts to vitamin A (retinol). We've doubtless all heard how good this is for our skin.  Using this soap means you can get your retinol boost naturally without resorting to manufactured stuff!

Sweet almond oil: contains loads of vitamin E which helps to protect your skin from UV radiation, keeps cells healthy and helps your skin stay soft and smooth whilst evening out fine lines.  Sweet almond oil also helps skin keep hold of its moisture so it helps irritated, chapped skin.

Coconut oil: has such a long list of benefits for skin. It also helps to harden the bar and makes the soap foam.

I fragrance this soap with sweet orange and neroli essential oils which are great for brightening the skin and the mood. So it’s an all round winner!

Each soap weighs approximately 100g and is wrapped in handmade Himalayan lokta paper which is tree free and fully sustainable.
