What have I added to this soap?
Calendula: is great for soothing irritated skin and helps the skin to naturally develop collagen to help minor cuts and abrasions. The calendula I use is freshly picked from my garden, dried and put into infusions within an hour of being picked. This soap uses both dried calendula petals and an infusion of calendula petals in apricot kernel oil which extracts more of the benefits of the calendula and adds extra moisture!
Gluten Free Oats: I make my own ‘oatmilk’ from steeping local gluten free oats in organic orange flower water for an hour or so. Then I add the milk to the white part of the soap. I add the smooshed oats from the oatmilk to the coloured part of the soap then add even more oats to soothe dry, irritated skin and for a gentle scrubbing action.
Organic orange flower water and organic shea butter: These are added for a touch of extra luxury and to hydrate and moisturise the skin. Shea butter is great for reducing scarring!
