Neroli Essential Oil – Why It’s Fabulous

Neroli essential oil blog picture

Neroli essential oil has always been one of my favourite fragrances. It’s why I use it in so many of my products.

It is extracted from the blossom of the Seville Orange Tree (the same oranges used to make marmalade). These slightly bitter oranges have a unique fragrance and taste. Neroli is described by the perfume society as:

“Airy, citrussy, green, but with whispers of honey and orange bubbling subtly underneath…It’s extracted by steam distillation of freshly-picked flowers, which must be a gorgeous task”

But did you know that, as well as smelling incredible, it also has some amazing properties for both our skin and overall wellbeing.

Skin Benefits of Neroli Essential Oil

Neroli is known for its ability to rejuvenate and revitalize the skin. Its natural properties help to balance oil production, making it suitable for all skin types. Whether you have dry, oily, or combination skin, Neroli can work its magic.

One of the key advantages of Neroli is its ability to promote healthy cell growth. It can help to regenerate skin cells, reducing the appearance of scars, stretch marks, and wrinkles. Regular use of Neroli essential oil can give your skin a radiant and youthful glow, making it a fantastic addition to your skincare routine.

Additionally, Neroli has been found to have anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, making it beneficial for various skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and dermatitis. Its gentle nature makes it suitable for even the most sensitive skin types.

Wellbeing Benefits of Neroli Essential Oil

Neroli also has a positive impact on our general wellbeing. Its calming and soothing aroma is widely used in aromatherapy to reduce stress, anxiety and even insomnia. Just a few drops of Neroli oil in a diffuser can create a serene and peaceful atmosphere, helping you to unwind after a long day.

Neroli is also known for its mood-lifting properties. In a poll of essential oils Neroli came top when it came to oils that can uplift your mood and spirit, promoting a sense of happiness and positivity. So, if you’re feeling a bit down or need a little pick-me-up, Neroli essential oil might just be the answer.

What Makes My Handmade Soap So Special?

My soaps are luxury items. They are gifts in themselves. Their wrapping is pretty enough that you could just give a bar to someone as it is and for it to look like a present, without the need for more wrapping paper or packaging.
