Aloe vera is an incredible substance.

The Aloe I use comes from the Aloe Vera Barbadensis plant (although there are many other varieties that are also beneficial).

What Can Aloe Vera Help With?

🌿Minor burns – apply aloe vera gel to the affected area up to 3 times daily.
🌿Sunburn – while it can help soothe sunburn it is NOT an effective way of preventing sunburn and is no substitute for wearing sun protection.
🌿Skin scuffs – If you’ve scuffed your skin apply neat aloe vera gel to the area for quick relief from pain and burning.
🌿Cuts – aloe vera boosts your collagen and fighting bacteria so pop some on minor cuts up to 3 times a day.
🌿Dry skin – aloe absorbs easily, making it ideal for oily skin. However it can help treat dry skin too as it can seal moisture into your skin.
🌿Cold sores – apply a small amount of aloe vera to your cold sore twice a day until it goes away.
🌿Eczema – aloe can alleviate the dry, itchy skin associated with eczema.
🌿Psoriasis – as with eczema aloe vera may help alleviate inflammation and itchiness from psoriasis. Apply twice daily to affected areas.
🌿Inflammatory acne – aloe vera has such amazing anti-inflammatory benefits so it may help treat inflammatory forms of acne. Just apply with a cotton bud directly to spots and pimples 3 times a day.

Getting my curls back

Look how curly my hair used to be! This photo was taken well before the onset of peri-menopause and hot flushes. I rarely tied my hair back unless I was cooking or gardening. I left it loose and it never seemed to get in the way. Even when I was working fulltime in...

What Makes My Handmade Soap So Special?

My soaps are luxury items. They are gifts in themselves. Their wrapping is pretty enough that you could just give a bar to someone as it is and for it to look like a present, without the need for more wrapping paper or packaging.
